Robin Blalock

Blalock.jpgRobin Blalock has been teaching in Escambia County since 2004. She began teaching with Escambia Virtual Academy during the 2013-2014 school year.  She began her teaching career in Lamar, SC teaching US History and Economics.  She also taught in Raleigh, NC  and Sanford, NC, teaching World History, US History and Civics.  Mrs. Blalock moved to Pensacola in 2004. That year she gained employment at Tate High School, and has taught World History, Honors World History, Contemporary History, Sociology and AP US History since.

Mrs. Blalock was born and raised in Minnesota, where she received her teaching certification and a Bachelors of Science from St. Cloud State University. She currently holds a certification in 6-12 Social Studies.  In 2008, Mrs. Blalock became a National Board Certified Teacher in Social Studies Education (Adolescence and Young Adult).

She is treasurer and past president of the Escambia Area Council for the Social Studies,  secretary for Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teaching Sorority and serves as the Teacher of the Year Awards Co-Chair for the Florida Council for the Social Studies.  Mrs. Blalock also serves as the sponsor for Rho Kappa History Honor Society at JM Tate High School.

When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, four children and two dogs.
